Session Overview
Instructional tutorial demonstrating how to pass serves outside the body's midline by shifting weight to the outside foot, dropping the inside shoulder, and keeping the platform away from the torso for clean rebound angles.
Core Biomechanical & Tactical Principles
- Create space between your ribcage and your elbows so your platform can move freely outside the midline of your body.
- Shrug the outside shoulder and drop the inside shoulder to tilt the forearm platform directly toward the setter's target zone.
- Absorb hard-driven serves by holding a stationary platform rather than swinging the arms across the body.
Verbal Coaching Cues for Practice:
"Clear your elbows away from your ribs""Drop the inside shoulder to face target""Freeze the angle on contact"
Why Recommended for Coaches:
Gives players a clear visual progression for reaching laterally and creating clean passing angles without crossing their feet.
