Session Overview
Partner passing progression that isolates the drop-step footwork pattern, training passers to open their hips to either side on deep tosses, plant their back foot for balance, and angle the platform cleanly back to their partner.
Core Biomechanical & Tactical Principles
- React to a deep toss by pivoting and dropping the outside foot back rather than hopping backward on two feet.
- Establish a balanced base with the back foot planted before the ball contacts the forearms so your platform remains steady.
- Work both left-side and right-side drop steps equally in partner warm-ups to eliminate weak-side passing habits.
